Four jobs I’ve had
- Cleaning lady. Freshman year in college. My favorite client was a very elderly woman who would tell me stories while I scrubbed her stove.
- Boston School Council Reporter. For the entire ‘97-’98 school year, I went to every single Boston School Council meeting and took notes and then turned them into a newsletter. I still have no idea who read this newsletter.
- Resource Library Assistant. Same year. Teachers would order videos from me and I would mail them and log them in an antiquated relational database checkout system. I also re-shelved them when they came back. Highly challenging.
- Middle school teacher. 8th grade! To Washington DC! On a Bus! (written under a pseudonym)
Four movies I can watch over and over
- Kicking and Screaming (this one not this one)
- Say Anything
- Breakfast Club
- Prime Suspect. Any of them. (OK, I know they’re technically mini-series. But shut up.)
Four places I’ve lived
- Evanston, IL
- Cambridge, MA
- Brighton and North End, Boston, MA
- Morningside Heights, NYC, NY
Four TV shows I love (excluding West Wing and Six Feet Under, since Sandy took ‘em)
- America’s Next Top Model
- Most anything on Mystery
- Arrested Development
- Scrubs
Four of my favorite dishes
- Chocolate Mousse
- Eggs Benedict
- Thai Spicy Basil Chicken
- Brisket
Four places I’ve vacationed
- Israel & Egypt – 1987
- Southern Utah – 1995, 1998
- Guanajuato, Mexico (mostly studying Spanish…but it counts as vacation, too, I think) – 2003
- Door County, WI – 2005
Four sites I visit daily
Four places I would rather be right now
- On the couch, knitting and watching TiVo
- On a midwestern road trip
- At the beach with a British murder mystery
- At my wedding
Four bloggers I’m tagging
...How about I just tag everyone at nacho? Is that cheating? I don’t think I care.
