Scene I: Are You My Mommy?

A few scenes from our life with cats, part one:

Clementine climbs onto the white cotton blanket we keep on the couch. She cautiously looks around, and then begins her search for her mother’s milk. Taking a small piece of blanket in her mouth, she begins to palpate the blanket, slowly and carefully, searching for the magical spot that will transform the blanket into her long lost mother. All the while, she is purring as loud as it is possible to purr. She cannot be deterred. One of these times that blanket is going to turn out to be her mother. She is sure of it.

Sarah thinks this behavior is adorable. I think it’s hilarious and helps solidify dogs in their place as victors in the “Dogs v. Cats: Battle for the Supremacy of Petdom” showdown.

In any case, get ready for a week of cat anecdotes. It’s going to be great.

Roof, roof! Roof-roof-roof! Roof?

(That’s dog for: Freakin’ cats. Freakin’ cat people. Can’t you go back to discussing adjustable rate mortgages, duvet covers and what-not?)
